POLOKWANE – Visitors to Savannah Mall had the opportunity to see artwork from top artists from all over the country last weekend.
John West Art Galleries are located in Johannesburg, but hosted a special exhibition in Savannah Mall.
“We travel around to our customers’ homes or office buildings and advise them on what paintings to buy. We provide our clients with a unique service with our mobile art gallery.
“This enables us to show the paintings in the comfort of your own home or office. If the customers see the original paintings on their walls, they can make a better decision of what to buy.
“Their home will be better decorated at the end of the day,” said John West Hendriks, CEO of John West Art Gallerias.
John buys art from big companies and takes part in cyber marketing schemes where customers can access art on the internet.
After the customer selects a series of artworks, he brings it to their offices and homes to see whether it would suit the room.
“We have artwork from people that are still alive as well as historical African artists like Pierneef.”
The gallery has three mobile art galleries and can keep a painting by process of elimination.
“We set up investments of art portfolios. People can buy artwork for their office and deduct it from their taxes.”
