Kwaito fans now in for a treat

Local kwaito fans can look forward to a new extended play (EP) CD by Khomotso "C-Les" Papo from Doornspruit Ga-Mashashane outside Polokwane

POLOKWANE – Local kwaito fans can look forward to a new extended play (EP) CD by Khomotso “C-Les” Papo from Doornspruit Ga-Mashashane outside Polokwane.

C-Les’ new dance tracks on the album include Tjovi-Tjovo and Fihla. He worked with Toxic Peterson, Resh, C-Slow, Vic Mash, and Lady Kenya on this EP album.

“The album is dedicated to all my fans to thank all of them for the support, motivation, and encouragement they have given me. As I am a local artist I want to create my brand in our community. I want them to enjoy my music. I want to empower and develop young people through music. I came into this industry with passion and a love for music. I am ecstatic over the support I have received,” he said.

“I grew up listening to the legend Mdu Masilela, Mandoza, Joe Nina, and Bricks. I would love to work with Magesh, and Mapaputsi in future.”

He said he had shared a stage with the likes of Pro Kid, Winnie Mashaba, Big Nuz, Donald and Thebe.

He said he was currently busy with recordings of more songs.

“Music is always with me, and I plan to release a full album next year.”

“I will kick off a tour of Limpopo in the festive season.”

“My love for kwaito is motivated by the way in which it allows me to tell a story and I am planning to shoot a Tjovi-Tjovo music video soon,” he said.

C-Les will launch his new EP in Botlokwa at Snel and Son Busy Corner on November 29, and all fans are welcome to attend.
