Judith Sephuma: the woman, the legend in city

JAZZ diva, Judith Sephuma is expected to thrill music lovers at Fusion Boutique Hotel in Polokwane on April 4.

POLOKWANE – JAZZ diva, Judith Sephuma is expected to thrill music lovers at Fusion Boutique Hotel in Polokwane on April 4.

Fhull Haus Media and Projects chief executive director, Cameron Barnes, said after seeing the lack of good pure jazz in the city, Mbumba Music has come up with a live jazz concert concept called Live It & Jazz It Polokwane.

He said the main purpose of the concept was to engage all generations of musicians to create the perfect blend of jazz that would draw a wider audience.

“It will also give us the opportunity to groom young talent and take them to the optimum level from a very young age.

“We will also be giving the older more mature artists a chance to give back to the industry through a show that will be one of a kind.

“One of the main acts at the first Live It & Jazz It Polokwane will be Judith Sephuma; it only felt right to start with the queen of Limpopo jazz,” he said.

“This show will offer Judith the opportunity to show Polokwane what she can do. Her supporting acts will be Erik, Paliani, Bloq, 5th Element, Tlale Makhene and Yukio.”

The event will start at 18:00 and the entrance fee will be R250 per person.
