POLOKWANE – Miss Polokwane Show Queen 2015, Zodwa Mdingi will bring beauty queens and kings from the province together to compete for the Face of Turf 2015/16 title.
The pageant is expected to take place at the Mankweng Community Hall on Saturday, 3 October. The beauty queens and kings will have to impress the judges with their modelling skills and talents in order to claim the title.

Mdingi said this is the second edition of the Face of Turf pageant and she looks forward to crown the winners. She said the aim of the pageant is to groom future role models, uplift the community and develop the youths.
“We have already started with charity work around the province. The contestants had to bring four cans food and their old clothes to enter for the pageant and we then donate the food to drop-in centres,” she explains.
She added that the overall winner of the pageant will walk away with a R1 000 cash prize, sash, tiara and certificate. The winner will automatically qualify to enter for the Tourism Queen of Limpopo pageant which will be held at the Polokwane Library auditorium. They will also get a one year contract to polish their modelling skills at ReRite Models.
The top three winners in both the girls and boys categories will win a one year contract from Prestige Dreams Acting and Modelling Agency.
Mdingi said whoever wins the Face of Turf title will be given roles so they can use their title to give back to the community and help the needy.
“My focus is now on youth development because I believe that we are the future leaders and ambassadors of our country.”
Mdingi currently has her own sights set on the Miss Teen South Africa title herself.
