The Springboks’ 34-32 defeat to Japan over the weekend has raised a few eyebrows
POLOKWANE – The Springboks’ performance over the weekend has raised a few eyebrows after they lost 34-32 to Japan.
South Africans took to social media to express their shock and disappointment, while others continued to show their support for the national team.
Review asked residents what they thought the Springboks’ performance.
Kgatla Mohale said: “Japan played a beautiful game of rugby and as a result, deserved to win. South Africans should know that a lousy performance does not win a game”.

Charmain Makua said the Springboks did their best. She added that she was the Boks would come back with a bang and make the country proud.

Erika Voster said the Boks’ management should find a strong team. She further said in 1995 the coach did not replace any player from the game because they were all fit.
“Players should learn to share the ball because rugby is a team sport not an individual sport. We were all disappointed to lose to Japan, but we should put that behind us and focus on the upcoming matches.”

Sibusiso Masuku said it was not nice to lose to Japan.
“The Japanese celebrated as if they had won the world cup because they could not believe that they managed to beat South Africa.”

Nomakhosi Mthimoye said she was very disappointed with the Boks’ performance. She added that she did not plan to watch the Boks’ match against Samoa this weekend.
