New political party plans to win in Vhembe

A new political party, the International Revelation Congress (IRC), was launched in Mukumbani outside Thohoyandou with the aim to contest in the 2016 local municipal elections

LIMPOPO – According to IRC president, Ernest Mamba, the party is already registered with the independent electoral committee and aims to rescue the Thulamela Municipality from a series of problems, which the ANC government has failed to rectify in its 22 years of governance.

“We are introducing IRC to the people of Vhembe so they can know that we are a new political party which they can vote for in the 2016 local municipal elections. We want to lay the foundation for a democratic and open society in which government is based on the will of the people and every citizen is equally protected by law. We aim to protect and encourage industry and agriculture, along with the conservation and rational use of natural resources,” said Mamba.

He said the party was formed in 2013 and later merged with Aganang SA in 2014, but things did not go as planned.

“We decided to create our own individual party again and this year we are contesting the election as a stand alone party. We plan to convince the Vhembe residents to vote for us. We plan to govern with traditional leaders and involve them in every decision we make right from the start so they are part of the outcome and do not feel left out when it is time for implementation. We do not just make empty promises, we deliver on our promises and we encourage everyone to cast their votes for us, the IRC, in the upcoming elections and get the service delivery they deserve,” he said.
