Connecting the dots in business
Have you heard of the saying in business that there is nothing new under the sun?
POLOKWANE – In the past, business owners, directors or managers used to struggle to get access to information which could help the company get ahead. Today, information is instantly available from across the globe.
The internet is fed with new information daily.
This makes it much easier and convenient to search for almost anything, and the most common place these days to find information is on Google.
However, with all this information now at our disposal, how do you know which one is useful and which one is not?
There’s power in getting the sequence of information right if you want it to benefit your business, but don’t get caught drowning in all this information and experience, which is sometimes referred to as information overload.
The same goes for the books we read, seminars or workshops we attend, or programmes we enrol into. They all serve a specific purpose, otherwise, you might just be vulnerable to consuming information that does not benefit you.
Not because the information is not valuable, but perhaps it is not on the same level as your operation should be.
At first, this is tough to comprehend on your own. Therefore, easier when you have assistance from elsewhere (like getting yourself a coach or a mentor).
There are a total of seven levels in the life of a business, and the mistake that many people make is they have no idea which level they are on, and by that, they become extremely vulnerable to anything that promises opportunity.
