Solomon hits all the right notes

It was the great Shakespeare who said 'if music be the food of love, play on.'

LIMPOPO – Doing just that is a group of young musicians whose thirst for music cannot be quenched.

The Swibi Swa Ndhuma Music Development Academy has been in existence since 2010 and have managed to release three albums.

One of the members, Solomon Chabalala, launched his solo album on Saturday, at Sun Meropa Jembe tavern. His first offering to the industry is titled Solly and consists of 12 tracks.

Solomon describes the experience of working on his first album and how happy he is that people are responding so well.

“Recording the album was easy for me because the songs were well-composed. My manager helped me a lot and I am happy with how the album turned out, and I am elated at the response the people had towards the launch. Even when I had completed my performance, they walked up to me and hugged me and said they could relate to my songs,” Chabalala continued.

His fellow band members were also at the launch to support the musician.

“As a band we are very happy to have supported Solomon with his launch. We also want to thank Sun Meropa because everything went according to plan and the stage was amazing,” Nyiko Chauke said.
