POLOKWANE – For most people, the start of the new year presents the opportunity to start over and set new fitness goals. Gyms are inundated with people who set goals to better themselves, starting with getting in shape.
Heinrich Wolhüter, personal trainer at Body Life Gym, therefore shared a few tips on how to stick to your new year’s resolutions:
- Set up your goals yourself but remember to take baby steps and work within your limits and you will gradually become stronger.
- Train with a friend and work to motivate each other.
- Get into a routine.
- Keep it real. Have realistic goals.
- Admit when you’ve made a mistake.
- Don’t over – or under – work, it will keep you from reaching your goals.
