Joan tells Bonus that she has experienced many disappointments and rejections but always remained faithful, patient and very persistent.

POLOKWANE – Joan Thato Legodi is a dedicated Senior Sales Executive and heads the government side of sales at Energy FM.

Joan was born and raised in Diepkloof, Soweto in Gauteng.

“I come from a very entrepreneurial background and my energy comes from my privileged upbringing which allowed me to go the best schools, getting a standard of education which was not available to many girls at the time in my neighbourhood.”

She says being a facilitator and inspirational speaker are two of the many passions that she has for the  social upliftment of woman of all ages and from all walks of life.

“I am motivated by challenges and innovation, taking into consideration that every client brings the opportunity for a new approach. I am energized by problems I pride myself in going the extra mile in solving.”

She says sales allows her the time to showcase her beneficial packages and push herself further to encourage all their clients to do the same with the aim of growing together.

“What makes me unique is my individual blend of experiences, skills and personality,” adding that the organisations prioritises ethics, teamwork and effectiveness. Energy FM is a place where passion in individuals is of key essence and it’s reflected at the radio station studio.

Joan gives advice to anyone who has a passion for studying sales: “Find your calling in life, study smart and learn to interact with others in a healthy way. Never believe in not being able to do something, as everything is possible, focus, love and do it, because you can.”

As an individual that never gave up and is passionate about her job, she believes she is tough, has a brave heart and is a ‘go-getter’, she believes in not letting setbacks deter her as she believes she is living proof that with the right mindset she is responsible for presenting a winning story.
