Music fans will ‘fall for’ this young rapper

With a passion to make it big within the music industry, Obrian Makwela, better known as Forgie Fox (15) made his entry into the industry as a music writer in 2014.

POLOKWANE – “I like listening to Emtee, Da Capo, Chymamusique, Mafikizolo, Sjava, Kwesta and other various local musicians as they are authentic and represent themselves very well in their craft. I look up to them as I also want to one day see myself at their level and I believe that I will get there,” he shared.

Currently doing his Gr 11 at MP Mamabolo Secondary School in Ga-Mmamabolo, he received the stage name Forgie from his close friend Sam Moila, who just happens to also be his manager.

He released his hit jam, Fall for you in 2017, in which he features Goldsmith and Golden Queen. He also released an additional single, Single Ladies, which made its way to Nigeria. He is also one of the youngest rappers in the province currently working on a single titled Mama I make you proud with Uganda’s NoBady.

Serving as an inspiration within the Mankweng community, he is teaching the youth to reach towards their dreams and to continue chasing them until they attain these.  “Most of the youth in my community get involved in bad activities such as excessive alcohol intake and drug abuse. Some turn into criminals at a young age because they say that they do not have a future anymore as most of the youth say that they don’t have money to further their studies after completing their gr 12. I just want to inspire as well as motivate the youth in my community to keep a positive attitude and soldier on and to keep chasing their dreams and strive to make their lives better,” he concluded.
