Candy and Danny D to get you moving with Siku ne Siku
Artist Candy Tsamandebele, born in Bolobedu, Limpopo, has a released a new song with an African flavor, which features her Nigerian boyfriend and well-known artist Danny D.
POLOKWANE – The two love birds met in the music industry, hit it off and decided to bring forth this particular hit track.
While working at the Moshito Music Conference and Exhibition as the face of the Southern Africa region music gathering, Candy made the decision to write a number of songs that are quite different from those she has already brought out, placing more focus on Bolobedu house and traditional music genres. When she realized the need to change to a different music genre, she approached a well-known Nigerian music producer and film maker Dr Frank, to help her create the envisioned melody. Candy and the producer both worked very hard to produce a unique fulfilling melody infused with various African music elements. She constantly listened to the arrangement, scrutinising and fine tuning every little detail until she was entirely satisfied with the final outcome. The arrangement is one which is according to her, well suited with the direction she intended to take in her upcoming album set to be released later this year.
To assist in adequately getting the message out there, she called on Danny D and the song, titled Siku Ne Siku was released on Friday, 2 March. The song has more of a Nigerian and reggae vibe to it, inclusive of beautiful and slow beats that one can easily move to. The lyrics paint a picture of two lovers who were once happen before the boyfriend decided to move on with a new lover, years later after realizing that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, he then decided to return to his old lover.
The couple was also recently invited on Kelly Khumalo’s Love and Matrimony Season 2 show on GauTV, where the best entertainers are interviewed on their love lives.
