Currently enrolled towards a bachelor of science qualification majoring in molecular and life science with the the University of Limpopo, 21-year-old Trust Dikgale from Ga-Dikgale is also serving as Miss Eagle South Africa’s 2018 Brand Ambassador.
LIMPOPO – “I had this passion of becoming a model since the tender age of 10 although there were a lot of critics around me on the dream and passion because of my physical appearance. However having grown up in a family that embraces every single person for who they are physically and spiritually, I got to understand as I grew up that we were all created to be unique and different. I believe that everyone has their own beauty and that the moment you start accepting yourself is the moment when those around you will also start to realise and accept the beauty in you. Growing up I looked up to face of Africa tittle holders such as Kaone Kario, Oluchi Onweagba and the likes as these are women who were once at the stage or phase of uncertainty about standing out and always seeking for approval from people in order to be confident enough to face and conquer life’s challenges,” she explained.
Dikgale is also the current Face of Polokwane 2017. “The Miss Eagle South Africa 2018 is not only about physical beauty but also about empowering women and pushing them to get out of their comfort zones to use their talents, brains and skills to empower, improve not only their lives but also the lives of those around them so that they may be able to fulfil their full potentials and God given talents. This beauty pageant is truly unique from other beauty pageants in that regard, they put women empowerment, women leadership and motivation above everything else resulting in creating opportunities for women to grow and using this beauty with brains platform to fulfill individual purposes as well as ensuring that they make a positive impact in their immediate communities,” she explained.
She also explained that the Miss Eagle South Africa pageant was in itself a long journey of self-discovery, personal growth, development and brand building where she was afforded an opportunity to engage in community activities and charity work as part of giving back to the community which taught her the overall spirit of Ubuntu. “Being part of the Miss Eagle South Africa has been fun and exciting, yet a challenging contest. We have been granted an opportunity to build our own personal brand by showcasing unique talents that we possess as young women. As Miss Eagle South Africa 2018’s Brand Ambassador, I am on a journey to reach the semi-finalist level by excelling in the activities assigned to me,” she added on.
She extended her gratitude to the community for being her support system throughout her journey and further pleads with the community to assist her in becoming the Miss Eagle South Africa 2018 title holder by voting for her by sending an SMS with the word Trust to 35334 at R30 per SMS.
