DJ Candy’s sweet success

Afro dance DJ, Sweet Candy, has something to warm up partygoers this winter and after several years in the music industry, the well-known lady DJ has finally achieved one of her life goals.

LIMPOPO – The 25-year-old DJ from Tjiane village in Ga-Mphahlele outside Lebowakgomo recently released her first single titled Tell Me featuring Matt and produced by DrumPope.

She told CV that having her own song was one of her childhood wishes realised, but added releasing her first single doesn’t mean she is quitting the decks, it will only add value to her profile.

Sweet Candy said being in the music industry for six years has taught her a lot about music.

“Growing in the music industry made me wiser and stronger,” she said.

DJ Sweet Candy plans to up her game in the music industry with the release of several singles and an album.

“Music is my passion and it is one thing that brings joy to my soul. Playing at prestigious gig venues in Mzansi and abroad has built my career and set a great record in my music journey.”

The current Capricorn FM resident presenter said her single Tell Me depicts a love story between two people who meet, fall in love and change each other’s lives and world for the better.

She added playing at a recent gig in Mozambique was her best experience to date and through it has learnt the diversity of music.

“I plan to work on more singles which will soon be followed by an album. I believe this will make a great mark for me in the industry,” she said.

DJ Sweet Candy said she was always inspired by the likes of DJ Zinhe and Black Coffee to pursue her passion for music.
