Kizzy Blacksoul ‘brings the entertainment’ to the city
Bapedi Entertainment record label founder, Kinsley Kizzy Blacksoul Maepa, recently received a personal VIP invite to perform at the Provincial Youth Day celebration event held on Saturday 16 June at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
POLOKWANE – “Performing in my home town made me realise how the people of Polokwane support our local upcoming artists in fulfilling their dreams of reaching the top,” he said.
Born and bred in Ga-Thaba, situated in Ga-Molepo, Kinsley developed a love for gospel at a young age. “Singing in the church choir I developed a love for gospel,” Kinsley said. He added that he also enjoyed listening to and was inspired by artists such as J-Cole.

Maepa has a marketing qualification from Boston City Campus and Business College and is currently studying entrepreneurship at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT).
Throughout his music career, he has performed at events such as the DStv iRock Battle for Stage event, the Limpopo Youth Celebrations event, Heavy G one-man show, and at several schools around Ga-Maja and Ga-Molepo.
Kinsley is releasing his first solo album Point in Time later this year.
“When I’m not performing at events, I also perform at schools in my area to motivate learners and to give up-and-coming artists exposure by inviting them to showcase their talent during my shows. Bapedi Entertainment also hosts events in rural areas in order to cater for those who cannot travel to urban areas to watch music shows. We try by all means to bring the entertainment to them,” Kinsley concluded.
