Miss Eagle finalist wants to better lives of underprivileged
Growing in the modelling industry and becoming a top model has been Carol Serage's dream since childhood.
LIMPOPO – Now the 21-year-old from Mooihoek village outside Burgersfort is starting to find her success in the modelling industry and is among the finalists who will compete for the Miss Eagle title at the Sandton Convention Centre in Gauteng on 15 December.
Serage told CV she is happy to be one of the finalists and she is glad to see her hard work and dedication pay off. As part of her obligations as a finalist, she is helping out at local preschools and donating goods to underprivileged people.
“I love working with children and that is the reason I enjoy spending much of my time with them. It is crucial that the youth ensure they bring change to other people’s lives and their societies as whole,” she said.
“I joined the modelling industry while I was still young and competing with overseas models and winning several tiles is my dream.
“I want to gain more experience in the modelling industry, be a top model and have my own modelling school which I believe will change the youth’s lives.”
She added winning the Miss Eagle pageant will be another successful milestone along her path to achieving her dreams, something she believes is within her reach through the support of the people around her.
Serage was crowned Miss R37 and Miss TCN Roadhouse in 2016 and Miss Black Label in 2017.
“Such accolades make me feel proud of how I look and I look forward to spending my life in the modelling industry and changing people’s lives for the better,” she said.
