Strobing will take your make-up to a new level
Learn how to do strobing make-up this month of love, with help from make-up artist Caroline Seabi.
POLOKWANE – Caroline explains that strobing make-up is basically applying some highlight on your face to make the elements pop-out.

“Highlighting is normally used when contouring to create an illusion of brightness and to lift features. The effect is used to highlight your skin in areas the light hits, to give you extreme glow and a dewy finish,” she said.
Tips:
• Apply soft shimmer during the day and a little bit more at night.
• Apply setting spray to get the dewy look.
• Always use a fan brush or highlighting brush to strob.
• You can also apply shimmer after contouring to enhance your cheek bones.
What to use for strobing:
• Shimmery shades of highlighter.
• Cream highlighter.
• Strobing powder.
Step by step to do strobing make-up:
• Prep your skin with a hydrating moisturiser.
• Use a highlighter shade that best matches your skin tone; apply the highlighter on your cheekbones, on top of your nose, below your brow bone, in the corners of your eyes, and above your cupid’s bow.
• After you’ve applied the highlighter, blend it out with your fingers, a fan brush, or a damp make-up sponge.
• If you have oily skin, rather use a (matte) bronzer, blush, or other facial products, and only use a shimmery highlighter.
And your ready to go.

Caroline will be hosting a Glamfair Beauty Masterclass in Polokwane where she will be talking more about eyebrows, contouring, basic make-up application and more. The event will be held on Saturday 2 March. For more information about the venue, email her on Seabicaroline@gmail.
