#WFD- Creamy pasta with Prawns, Lime & Garlic

This creamy pasta is perfect if you are a prawn lover.

POLOKWANE – Some say that lime and prawns are the perfect combination. Add some garlic and creamy pasta and you’ve got yourself not only the perfect meal but a match made in heaven.

This recipe by What’s for Dinner takes 15 minutes to prepare and about 25 minutes to cook making it the perfect recipe for that dinner scurry.

Ingredients

  1. 5g herbs, chopped
  2. 1 x KNORR Tuna Mate Cheddamelt
  3. 200g prawns, shelled and deveined
  4. 800ml hot water
  5. 250ml cold milk
  6. 1 x clove of garlic, crushed
  7. 1 x red onion, chopped
  8. 15ml oil
  9. 1 x pinch black pepper
  10. the zest of 1 lime

Method

  1. Heat oil in a large, non-stick saucepan.
  2. Add onions and garlic and sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in sachet of seasoning spice blend, milk and water and mix together well.
  4. Add prawns, lime zest, herbs and the uncooked pasta and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce the heat and allow to simmer uncovered for 15-20 min until the pasta is cooked.
  6. Season with black pepper, serve and enjoy.
