Jazz up your outfit with animal print

Fashion designer and stylist, Tshepo Mehlape from Ivy Park says animal prints are still dominating the fashion world

POLOKWANE – Prints have been dominating the fashion industry for quite some time.

This is according to fashion designer and stylist, Tshepo Mehlape from Ivy Park, who has worked with many different types of coloured designs, patterns and materials ever since 2000, when she started working in the industry.

“Many would refer to them as ‘animal print,’ which they usually match with either their shoes, bags, belt or hair accessories. These are the best items one can match animal prints with when it comes to clothing,” she said.

Tshepo further explains that animal prints are still dominating the fashion world, even now, and that they have been a trend on social media blogs.

“When showing-off your trendsetting style, especially in ‘chilly’ weather, loud coloured leopard prints are the best option. What I love about animal prints is that they show off one’s personality.

Tshepo says some of the colours to match leopard print with are normally your reds, light or dark browns, and blacks.

“Loud colourful colours sometimes do work with leopard prints, just play around with the colours. As long as you match your clothing with your bag, shoes and belt, then you are good to go. Be wild with your sense of style,” she concluded.
