The voting lines for the SEMA19 opened on 1 October and will close on 20 October.
LIMPOPO – Voting lines are open as the Sepedi Music Awards 2019 have officially been launched.
Mmabaloi Mabitsela, chief news editor, anchor and current affairs producer at Radio Turf has been nominated as the best Sepedi radio presenter.
The 31-year-old from Ga-Motholo in Mankweng has been on the radio for three years and says this was not her first option, but she ended up developing a love and passion for the industry.
“Being nominated is a great achievement and winning the award will be a bonus, as this nomination will go a long way on the list of my achievements,” she added.
Mmabaloi is an honours graduate in translation and linguistics from the University of Limpopo, who currently works towards her postgraduate certificate in education with Unisa.
She says presenting the Radio Turf current affairs show taught her to have courage and perseverance and taught her that one should not judge the next person without knowing their story.
“The most important thing about being on radio is to know how to engage with your listeners and co-workers. Remember that you can never judge a person without knowing the background of their story,” she added.
