Here is Review’s rundown of what to stream on Showmax and Netflix this week.

POLOKWANE – Streaming services such as Showmax and Netflix have made it possible to watch your favourite series or movies on demand, whenever you want to.

This however makes it even more difficult to decide between the magnitude of options available – that’s where we come in.

Review has put together a list of shows you should stream on your favourite platform.

What to Watch this week on:

Showmax:

Series: Blindspotting

Blindspotting, the spin-off sequel series to the award-winning, critically acclaimed 2018 film of the same name, follows Ashley, who has to navigate a chaotic and humorous existential crisis after Miles, her partner of 12 years and the father of their son, is suddenly incarcerated, forcing Ashley to move in with Miles’ mother and half-sister.

 

Movie: Kimi

Directed by Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh (Sex, Lies and Videotape), Kimi was up for Best Streaming Movie at the 2022 Hollywood Critics Associaton Television Awards and has a 92% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes.  In their five-star review, Telegraph wrote, “Zoë Kravitz is magnificent in Steven Soderbergh’s techno-thriller about the dangers of letting technology’s tentacles wrap around our lives… Stylish, gripping and brisk.”

 

For the kids: Paw Patrol 

No job’s too big, no pup’s too small. Paw Patrol is on a roll! There’s a whole new season of fun and daring for the little ones with the adorable pup squad of Adventure Bay as they’re called upon to save the Bubble Monkeys, an Antarctic Martian, a Pterodactyl and even some dino eggs!

Series: How to Ruin Christmas 

Free-spirited Tumi always manages to make a mess of things. Can she make it through this holiday family reunion without ruining it completely?

 

Movie: Sniper: Rogue Mission 

A CIA rookie, a grizzled vet and a female assassin set off on a rogue mission to take down a corrupt federal agent running a human trafficking ring.

 

For the kids: The Boss Baby: Christmas Bonus 

Christmas Eve takes a twisty turn when the Boss Baby accidentally swaps places with one of Santa’s elves and gets stranded at the North Pole.
