Ivy Park woman excels in beauty and fashion
Ivy Park entrepreneur Tshego Moholo turns passion into success with her salon, skincare line, and fashion ventures.
POLOKWANE – Tshego Moholo, a 33-year-old go-getter from Ivy Park is making waves in the beauty industry. From hair to skincare and fashion, she’s carving her own path – and it all started with her two daughters.
“I used to struggle to find hairstylists who could work with my daughters, whether at salons or at home. That’s when I saw a gap in the market,” Tshego said. She decided to take the leap and bought a salon, initially focusing on young kids. “But as time went by, I started welcoming everyone,” she added.
These days, Tshego isn’t just running a salon – she’s cooking up her own skincare line for both face and body and selling trendy pleated skirts. The idea for her beauty products came after years of selling network marketing brands.
“I wanted to create something of my own, something that reminds women they’re beautiful just as they are. After having my kids, I really struggled to find the right skincare, and that’s how Obotse Skin Products was born.”
It hasn’t been smooth sailing, though. Tshego has faced plenty of challenges, from finding startup cash to hiring and keeping reliable staff. But her advice to anyone with a dream?
“Start where you are with what you’ve got. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Challenges will always be there, but you learn to work around them.”
