R100 000 reward offered in Giyani court official’s murder
A year after the fatal shooting, investigators are appealing to the public for information that could help bring those responsible to justice.
LIMPOPO – Limpopo police have offered a R100 000 reward for information that could lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of those responsible for the murder of a Giyani Regional Court official.
The reward relates to the murder of Rhulani Thomas Langa (56), a senior interpreter attached to the Giyani Regional Court.
According to police, Langa was found fatally shot inside his white Isuzu double-cab vehicle at Mphambo along the R81 in the Malamulele policing area on March 25, 2025.
Police said the incident occurred at about 18:20.
Limpopo provincial commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has appealed to members of the public to assist investigators by sharing any information that could help identify and locate those responsible.
“The murder of any member of our community is a serious concern, and we are determined to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice,” said Hadebe.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Eric Mathebula, on 083 239 0977. Information can also be provided at the nearest police station, via the Crime Stop line on 08600 10111, or anonymously through the MySAPS App.
Police said all information received will be treated confidentially.
The investigation is ongoing.
