Learners of the Senior, Junior and Life Skills classes at Mitchell House Enrichment Centre all took part in the centre’s annual Christmas concert last Wednesday evening.
The theme was ‘To the moon and back’ and the group performances were named Moon Thieves, Astronauts and Aliens, Earth and Space Jam.
Headmaster, Andrew Cook welcomed the parents attending the event and said that all the learners at the Enrichment Centre are special and expressed his delight with the fact that they all participated.
Enrichment Centre head of department, Liezel le Roux said that the learners started to practice for the concert two quarters ago and praised the educators for their efforts to coach each and every one to be able to perform at the event. “We are so thankfull for the support received from Mr Cook and for his personal efforts to raise money for the centre,” Le Roux said.
An opportunity was also taken to bid former educator at the centre, Renate Wieffering farewell. Special mention was made of her devotion and the caring and diligent way in which she invested her time and energy in the dream and future of the centre.
