Fun and games at Jabez Barn Dance

In an effort to expose learners to other cultures, Jabez Christian Academy hosted a traditional American Barn Dance at the school on Friday evening. The suggested attire was Country and Western and the music that was played from the school’s sound system, created the ideal atmosphere. Learners were introduced to the right steps by educator Luan Erasmus and it was not long before other colleagues joined in the fun.
Deputy Principal Bruce Phillips was the ‘braaimaster’ and ensured that all the guests were treated to a boerewors roll and drinks.
Principal Elana Erasmus said that it was the school’s first Barn Dance and that it was so enjoyed by the learners that it will now be an annual event.
