Osizweni joins hands with youth managers

The foundation was founded by young professionals who are progressing and developing in their respective career paths.

eMBALENHLE – Mpumalanga youth managers launched their programme at Osizweni Secondary School in the middle of February.
The Youth Managers Foundation is a non-profit youth development organisation that was founded in 2009 with a vision and objective of developing leadership skills of young people so they could be agents of positive change in their areas of influence.
It was founded with a clear and well-defined vision of developing the youth of South Africa, with its primary target being those who are at basic educational level.
Its vision emanated from various engagements with high school teachers who expressed concerns about the lack of energy, drive, resilience, focus and responsibility among learners that in turn threaten the education system and the growth of the South African economy.
The foundation was founded by young professionals who are progressing and developing in their respective career paths.
The purpose of the programme is to teach leadership skills through quarterly seminars which will focus on building leadership skills, team work, communication, creative thinking and managing stress, among others.
They also aim to develop young, change-driven leaders who will be agents of positive change in their spheres of influence, encourage young leaders to come up with impactful solutions to their problems and challenges, encourage and guide them to work as a team, enable the young leaders to connect with like-minded people so that they can share and learn from one another, provide learners with career guidance information that will equip them in making informed subject choices that will aid them in pursuing their respective careers and introduce the role of the educator as a support structure in the development of young learners.
