
BETHAL – Theft out of a vehicles is on the increase in the central business district.
Criminals are using a gadget to intercept frequencies of the vehicles equipped with central locking systems.
Vehicle owners are convinced their vehicles are locked when they leave their it and on returning, discover their vehicles have been broken into.
“We urge residents to double check that their doors are properly locked.
“Do not to leave your valuables such as handbags, laptops and cell phones in your car or where they are visible.
“People in possession of firearms and those who withdraw money, should also not leave it in their cars.”
