eMBALENHLE – More than 150 liquor traders have joined the Mpumalanga Liquor Association to ensure they trade responsibly.
Mr Tsehla Motsoeneng, treasurer, said taverns and bottle stores have shown an interest in the shaping of the Liquor Act regulation.
“Liquor traders play an important role in the township’s economy, especially within the framework of tourism.”
The association is a non-profit organisation and represents liquor traders in issues of common interest, among which is the promotion of the long-term sustainability of the businesses of the members.
Mr Gibson Jong, secretary, encourages liquor outlets to run their businesses in accordance with the law, without being harassed and victimised by the police and other authorities.
