People are fed up with Sassa office

EVANDER – Many residents are shocked about the bad service at the Sassa office after a woman was told last week that she could not take her baby inside the office.
“The woman who makes the Sassa cards at their office, was very rude to me. She told me to go inside and leave my baby outside,” said a resident.
“My concern is, who will take care of my baby when I am inside?
“Must I ask a complete stranger to look after my baby?
According to another resident, the doctor who examines patients for the Sassa office, rejects the applications of the people she does not like.
“One of the staff members at the Sassa office told me the doctor rejects the people she does not like and they are waiting for a new doctor,” said the resident.
She got a Sassa card but no money.
“When I asked the staff at the Sassa office why I got a card but no money, they said I was on the system and the system said they must give me a card.”
The Echo and Ridge Times asked Mr Senzeni Ngobeni, Sassa’s spokesman, for comment, but he did not reply at the time of going to press.
