Offenses committed during the month of May

19 Cases of burglaries in residential premises reported in Sakhile Police Station.

The Sakhile Police released their crime statistics for May.

The following offences were reported:

* Common assault (5)

* Assault with the purpose to inflict grievous bodily harm (8)

* Malicious damage to property (4)

* Theft general (2)

* Rape (8)

* Robbery common (4)

* Robbery (fire-arm) (1)

* Burglaries at residential premises (19)

* Burglaries at business premises (1)

* Murder (2)

* Reckless or negligent driving of a vehicle on public roads without injuries (2)

* Theft out of motor vehicle (1)

* Drunken driving accident (1)

* Intimidation (1)

* Possession or usage of dangerous/undesirable dependence (dagga) (6)

* House robbery (2)

Police urged the community to take care of their property and to properly lock vehicles.

They requested that the community makes sure their house are locked before they leave.

They also urged parents not to allow their children to drive their car without a licence and motorist not to drive under the influence of alcohol.
