Crimes reported at Sakhile police station in August.

The Sakhile Police made the following arrests during August:

• Housebreaking – four

• Reckless and negligent driving – four

• Offences under the liquor act in general – 13

• Theft out of a vehicle – three

• Rape – two

• Common Assault – five

• Assault with the purpose to inflict grievous bodily harm – 12

• Theft in general – three

• Malicious damage to property – four

• Common robbery – three

• Drunken driving accident – one

• Intimidation – one

• Robbery – one

• Driving a vehicle without a licence – four

• Possession of drugs – four

The police urged residents not to drive under the influence of alcohol and parents should not permit their children to drive without a licence.
