Roads to be upgraded in Sakhile

The Lekwa municipality has planned to upgrade roads in Sakhile.

Sakhile residents will be happy to know that the Lekwa Municipality has a plan to upgrade roads in the next six months.

The Roads Section Graveling and Patching Annual Plan includes patching potholes in town and graveling streets in Sakhile.

While some people welcome the news with excitement, some are not so pleased.

According to Mr Bheki Buthelezi, regional organiser of the PAC, they doubt that the plan will be fully implemented.

“The municipality always appoints incompetent contractors and they never finish the job,” Mr Buthelezi said.
