A manhole at the entrance of the caravan park, next to the River Park, has been leaking for months.
It was first noticed in August after an inspection by the Standerton Advertiser.
Nothing has changed and it is still overflowing.
A dam of sewage has formed and the manhole is overgrown with grass nearly two metres tall.
Mr Sipho Mkwanazi, spokesman of the Lekwa Municipality, was questioned about the state of the park in an article in the newspaper on 29 August.
Mr Mkwanazi said, at the time, that he has driven through the park and could not see what the problem was.
“I will take this up with the relevant department immediately,” was the response of Mr Pierre Schnetler, Ward 10 councillor, when asked if he could do anything about the problem.
“I notified the relevant department, but nothing has come of it,” Mr Schnetler said on 11 December.
E-mails sent to the municipality have also not been answered.
Another problem in town is a leaking pipe in Knopdoring Street.
“I have noticed that sewage has been flowing across the road for the past three months,” a concerned resident said.
“I walk my dogs past the college daily and nothing has been done.”
