BETHAL – The local police recently arrested a man (27) for allegedly dealing in drugs.
The two officers were executing patrol duties and conducting a stop-and-search around the Bethal CBD.
They noticed five men sitting next to a tree at the taxi rank and saw one of them throwing a white packet on the ground.
The officers went to them and instructed them to stop where they were.
Const Kenneth Maseko searched the men and picked up the packet that contained drugs wrapped in paper.
The police found R647-50 in the man’s possession.
The suspect was arrested and detained at the Bethal Police Station.
“We encourage the community to assist the police by reporting any form of crime”, said Const Thomas Mogadime.
