Load shedding a reality

SECUNDA  – Eskom has confirmed the prognosis for load shedding will be low to medium from 15 December until mid-January.

At the end of last year Eskom was forced to implement stage three load shedding after one of its coal silos at the Majuba Power Station in Mpumalanga collapsed.

Mr Kulu Pasiwe, spokesman, has appealed to everyone to conserve energy during office hours.

“The system is constrained and we are appealing to all customers to reduce their loads,” said Mr Kulu.

If you leave your home or office, switch off lights and air conditioners and only switch them on when you return.
