Glow for a good cause at Neon Fun Walk in Secunda
Residents can look forward to a colourful evening of glowing lights, music and furry friends when Because Dogs and Co hosts its annual 2km Neon Fun Walk on October 30.
Because Dogs and Co will host its annual Neon Fun Walk at Lake Umuzi Waterfront’s Chopper Island on October 30, inviting residents to dress in bright neon colours and enjoy an evening of fun for a good cause.
The 2km fun walk aims to raise awareness of the work done by the non-profit organisation, which assists with animal adoptions, rehoming, sterilisations, and animal welfare.
Participants can look forward to an evening filled with glowing lights, music, colour and fun, with their four-legged companions welcome to join the festivities.
Registration opens at 18:00, with the walk scheduled to start at 19:00.
Entry costs R50 per person, while children under five years old may participate for free.
The event will also feature a photographer, food stall, sweet treats, animal merchandise and neon accessories.
Medals will be awarded to the first 250 participants, giving walkers an extra incentive to arrive ready to glow.
Residents may participate with or without a dog.
Owners bringing their dogs must ensure that their pets remain on leashes throughout the event.
The organisers have stated that they will not be held liable or responsible for any damages, injuries or losses.
