TRICHARDT – The local police will be re-launching the Trichardt Community Policing Forum (CPF) on 22 January at 6pm and residents are urged to attend this meeting at the police station.
They will be electing a new committee and want to improve the safety of the public in the area and also need the help of the public.
Const Valencia Koma said there were many housebreakings during the day in December and the police and residents need to unite in the fight against crime.

Trichardt Police and the community worked together in order to have a suspect arrested for housebreaking and theft on Monday, 12 January.
The man got entry to a flat through a window, but the flat owner was inside and screamed for help.
Her neighbours caught him as he was climbing over a wall to get to his vehicle that was parked outside the complex.
The police were patrolling the area at the same time and noticed the commotion.
They searched the man’s vehicle and found a duvet and an umbrella that were reported missing during a housebreaking earlier that day at another complex.
He was arrested immediately and officials thanked the public for their help.
