Still no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Mr Tom Sawyer (62) on his farm Oudenhoutdraai on 3 November.

“There is still no development in the case, we are still awaiting reports from the pathologist,” Sgt Brian Johns, investigating officer, said.

Mr Sawyer’s body was found on the morning of 3 November by his neighbour, Mr Wynand Ambrosius and members of the Greylingstad Police.

“A farm worker of Mr Sawyer phoned me in the early hours of the morning and said something was not right at the farm house,” Mr Ambrosius said.

According to him Mr Sawyer and his wife had split for the past year and he was living alone on the farm.
