Police welcome new officer

Kinross Police add one member to their team.

KINROSS – The police welcomed Sgt Kennedy Botha as the new communications officer at the Kinross Police Station.

He was born on 16 March 1979 in Colesberg in the Eastern Cape where he lived with his parents and four siblings.

Rugby was a top priority when Sgt Botha attended high school and his friends motivated him to become a police officer.

He matriculated in 1998 and joined the South African Police Service in 2002 and he was stationed at the eMbalenhle Police Station

“My wife inspires me to dream bigger and to be a better person and I look up to her as a role model,” said Sgt Kennedy Botha.

He hopes to win the trust of the community.

Sgt Botha has 13 years of service in the field and is passionate about his work.

“I hope the community of Kinross will welcome me and that we will work together.”

He is married and has two children.
