Local security company keeps crime at bay

They also appeal to the Mpumalanga government, ANC, DA, EFF, Sanco, PAC and other interested parties or people for help.

Shona Vumbuka Security Guards was formed in December 2013 to help the government reduce crime.

The volunteers consist of former police officers, former soldiers, police reservists, motor mechanics as well as other community members.

It should also involve the Community Policing Forum (CPF) and street committee members.

We spoke to the Sakhile community, especially business people, shop owners as well as foreign national shop owners.

They all agreed that we should guard their businesses, especially during the night. We will negotiate with schools, churches and other government institutions. One business owner agreed to provide us with transport, a minibus and a van, to patrol the area.

We appeal to the Mpumalanga government, ANC, DA, EFF, Sanco, PAC and other interested parties or people for help.
