KINROSS – Municipal workers were shocked when they found a fetus still attached to the umbilical cord and placenta at a sewage pump station outside Kinross in Ext 25 on Wednesday, 4 February.
According to the workers they found the baby boy when they were cleaning the station.
“We thought it was a dumped cat or dog and was stunned to see it was a human being,” said one of the workers.
The police suspect it to have been an illegal abortion.
They and the forensics team were on the scene.
