Secunda Police arrest illegal immigrant at court
Nigerians intimidate people at court.
SECUNDA – Police searched the supporters of the three alleged drug dealers, Messrs Henry Nwaen and Arinze Ngene from Nigeria and Ms Noluvuyo Sali, at the Secunda Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
The accused re-appeared in court yesterday, 19 February after they were arrested at a house in Toon van den Heever Street on 9 February and were charged with dealing in drugs and the manufacturing of drugs.
This came after drugs to the value of one million rand were found in the house.
They are still in custody and their case was postponed to 24 February when the state will testify.
According to a source, the supporters of the accused also attended the court hearing and intimidated people, among them DA councillors and members.
The DA councillors have attended the court case every time the alleged dealers appeared to oppose bail.
The police searched two vehicles of the supporters and arrested one for being in South Africa illegally.
