Umzinto murder case postponed
Mr Kiran Ramraj will reappear in court on 2 March.
SECUNDA – The family and friends of Ms Nozi Sibiya walked out of the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on Monday, feeling discouraged after the case of Mr Kiran Ramraj, her alleged murderer, was postponed again.
They said they feel there is no way forward in the matter and that it is emotionally draining.
Regardless of how many times the case is postponed, residents of Ward 12, Extension 18, Ward 12 ANC members and Mr Nick Mathabe, Ward 12 councillor, still come in their numbers to support the family.
They were wearing their political T-shirts, singing and picketing outside the Secunda Magistrates’Court on Monday during the reappearance of Mr Ramraj.
Mr Ramraj was arrested after the police had found the naked and burnt body of Ms Sibiya in his rented garden flat in Umzinto Street on 6 November.
He will reappear in court on 2 March.
Residents vowed to support the family until the end.
