Bridge poses a danger to residents

Residents are unhappy about a bridge in Ext 2.

A bridge in Ext 2 that is not properly constructed, poses a danger to the community.

The residents had a problem every time it rained the last 20 years, because the water got into their houses and damaged their furniture.

They reported the matter to the Lekwa Municipality and a temporary bridge was constructed to deal with the issue.

The temporary bridge was not properly constructed, but the water was not bothering them anymore.

“The municipality promised to build a well-constructed bridge,” Mr Bafana Mashinini, a resident, said.

He also said they told them more than 15 years ago that the bridge has been budgeted for, but nothing was done.
