Marathon club well represented in Kosmos Marathon
34 athletes from the Standerton Marathon Club competed in the Secunda Kosmos 3 in 1 Marathon on 7 February.
Altogether 34 athletes from the Standerton Marathon Club competed in the Secunda Kosmos 3 in 1 Marathon on 7 February.
Isaiah Dlamini was the first Standerton athlete home in the 42.2km race in a time of 3:13,50, followed by Sandile Mazibuko in 3:18,05 and Sipho Mgomezulu in 3:32,15.
In the 21.1km race Thulane Nkosi was the first Standerton athlete to cross the line in 1:45,00 with Isaiah Dlamini second in 1:55,22, followed by Lucas van der Merwe in 2:10,55.
Van der Merwe also competed in the 10km race and was the first Standerton athlete home in 1:02,00, followed by Sipho Mgomezulu in 1:04,31 and Tsepo Nsibande in 1:04,32.
The club also ran their weekly time trials on 3 February.
