Vusokoti project holds workshop

The event was aimed at people who want to begin businesses and those already in business.

The Vusokoti Project held an introductory workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs at the Thusong Centre in Sakhile on 27 March.

The Department of Social Development organised the workshop for young people and women in business.

The event was aimed at people who want to begin businesses and those already in business.

Participants wrote down their business interests during the workshop and were divided into different categories.

Mentors from the local community were then assigned according to the types of enterprises.

The workshop focused on how to begin a business and helped with a business plan as well as teaching financial literacy and sustainability.

The project emphasised on how to begin businesses without any funding or capital.

The programme, funded by Absa, will run in Standerton until October.
