Valuable items stolen during Secunda house robbery

Goods worth R5-m were stolen.

SECUNDA – A man and his friends were tied up and held hostage during a house robbery on Sunday, 19 April.

It is alleged that he opened a gate at his house, thinking that the men who were standing in front of the main gate were his friends who told him that they were coming to visit him.

Five armed men stormed into his house and instructed him and his friends to go to the bedroom where they were tied up for three hours.

Three vehicles, two Mercedes Benzes and a Porch were stolen during the robbery.

Other valuable items, such as a digital camera, a laptop, cash, watches, clothes, a television and a fire-arm were also stolen.

The robbers left the scene with the cars

Nobody was injured.

One Mercedes Benz has been recovered in Daveyton.
