The Sakhile Police urged the community to take a stand against crime.
They congratulated the Ext 1 and Shivovo residents for displaying unity and the Siphingo community for the diligence in patrolling the streets.
According to them they can not effectively fight crime without the community’s involvement.
They need the residents to be their extended arms and ears in places they can not reach.
The police requested the community to be careful of imbawula (coal stove made out of a large tin with holes on the side) which some use to keep warm during the winter.
They said they must avoid keeping it in the house while they are sleeping.
