TRICHARDT – A man was severely attacked recently by his neighbour.
When he arrived home and unlocked his front door, his neighbour apparently sprayed him with pepper spray and threw him down stairs.
His head hit the driveway and he was blinded by the pepper spray.
His neighbour allegedly began strangling him and the man ended on his stomach.
The neighbour then allegedly sat on his back, grabbed him by his hair and began hitting his face on the pavement.
He said: “I could not breathe because of the pepper spray and turned my head to the side to try and protect my face.”
Another neighbour saw what was happening and shouted that she was going to contact the police.
The neighbour got up and left.
“I thought I was going to die and the police fortunately responded very quickly.”
The man was rushed to a hospital and had to get stitches on his forehead.
Doctors told him there was soft tissue missing from his forehead.
His head, nose, eyes and forehead were badly bruised.
It was apparently not the first time that this neighbour acted like this.
He previously threatened this man who reported it to the police.
The police are investigating.
