Wearing slippers help others reach their dreams

Your Slipper Day sticker and slippers could get you a free cup of Wimpy coffee.

SECUNDA – Celebrate Slipper Day by reaching for your slippers and help children reach their dream

Slipper Day stickers are available at all Wimpy outlets countrywide.

This year Reach for a Dream will be activating the annual Slipper Day campaign on Friday, 7 August.

All South Africans can take part in the campaign by wearing their slippers to work, school or the mall, all in aid of helping children fighting life-threatening illnesses.

You can help a child’s dream come true by buying your R10 sticker from a Wimpy near you until 7 August and proudly wear your slippers on Slipper Day.

Wear your sticker and slippers to Wimpy on 7 August and this will guarantee you a free cup of Wimpy’s regular coffee.

“Last year stickers sold through Wimpy outlets resulted in just over R1.1 million in funds for Reach for a Dream and this year we would like to sell even more stickers to our loyal customers to further aid this non-profit organisation,” said Ms Karabo Morudu, Wimpy brand manager.

“At Wimpy we are all about families and aiding in making seriously ill children’s dreams come true is a privilege for us as a group.”

Reach for a Dream has been around for 27 years and has dedicated itself to making dreams come true.

No dream is too small or too big and ranges from children wanting to see the ocean for the first time, taking a drive in a Ferrari, a flight in a helicopter, becoming a doctor for the day to visiting Disney World.

“All funds and proceeds raised through our Slipper Day campaign will help put a smile on the faces of the foundation’s ‘dream children’,” says Ms Bronwyn Feldwick-Davis from Reach for a Dream.

“Reach for a Dream prides itself on the countless children who have benefitted through the generous support of companies such as Wimpy.”
